About Lauren

I started my career as a public school teacher, then my love for animals led to me setting out to find a career that would allow me to work with animals while providing a service working directly within my community. I’m the third generation resident of our Little Forest Hills home and live here with my husband, our loveably lazy cat, Tuxie, and our quirky and scrappy dog, Capo.

I know the deep love we have for our pets, how unnerving it can be to leave your pet with a stranger, and the importance of feeling safe with a pet sitter. I've had many rescued and fostered dogs and cats throughout my life that were/are my beloved family. I’ve volunteered in animal shelters for 13 years where I’ve spent lots of time with dogs and cats of all breeds and ages, most of whom haven’t quite learned how to live with people and are scared, timid, hyperactive, or just happy-go-lucky! I foster neonatal bottle-fed kittens and I've even rescued, raised, and released an injured newborn squirrel!

My friends, clients, and colleagues say I'm dependable and empathetic, and many of them have asked me to care for their pets while they’re away. I think I’m a pretty fantastic caretaker! But if you’re not ready to take my word for it, head over to the Reviews page to see what other folks think. You can be sure to receive photos, updates, and daily reports so you can rest assured that your pet is being lovingly attended to. I adore and have the utmost respect for animals and am honored to care for each and every one of them.
