Keys
Keys to the home must be stored on the property, and must be accessible from outside the home during service times. Keys can be kept in either a lockbox or a designated secure hiding spot. Copies of keys are not kept or carried between visits. One exception to this is apartments that require key fob entry, in which case only the fob and not the key will be kept between visits.
Payments
Payment is required at the time of booking to reserve the time slot for the service. Once a date and time are agreed upon, you will received an email with an invoice. Invoice must be paid within 24 hours. At that time if payment has not been made, the agreed upon date and time will become available to other interested clients.
Payments accepted: Visa, Mastercard, & American Express. Receipts are sent via email, and all payments processed online are through a secure processing system.
Cancellations
Please notify as soon as possible if you need to cancel visits. 24 hours cancellation notice is required to receive a full refund, i.e. any visits that were scheduled to occur within 24 hours from the time the notice of cancellation is received will not be refunded. A full refund will be issued for any visits that were scheduled to occur past the 24 hour window immediately upon cancellation. Refunds may take up to 7 business days to be processed.
Photos
Photos of your pets may be shared on social media, website, and marketing materials. No identifying information other than the first name of your pet will be shared (this includes no visible contact info tags on collars). Follow along on Instagram to see pictures of your happy pet!
Visitors to the home
For my own safety, please inform me if you are expecting any other visitors to your home (gardeners, cleaners, neighbors, roommates, family members) during the time frames you have asked me to come care for your pet. If I arrive at the home and believe there is an unexpected visitor inside, (for example, if I see an unfamiliar car in the driveway), I will remain outside the home and attempt to contact you. If I cannot reach you to verify that the visitor is a known person, the visit will be completed at a later time to ensure the pet’s safety and will incur an additional visit fee.
Similarly, if you have asked neighbors to keep an eye on your home while you are out of town, please notify them that you are having a pet caretaker come to the home. Any concerned neighbors are welcome to initiate a conversation with the caretaker, who can provide identification.
